Emerald Village Fundraising Campaign

Help make Emerald Village Real by donating at: https://www.crowdrise.com/emeraldvillage

Emerald Village will provide a grassroots model for permanent, affordable housing. The community will include 15 tiny houses (140-250 sq. ft. with a small kitchen and bathroom) supported by common gathering and gardening areas.

Residents will make monthly payments of around $200 to $250 toward utilities and a share of the village—allowing very low-income individuals the opportunity to earn equity.

  3. Well , Heather if you need info or help I am the coordinator for the Vietnam Veterans of America Homeless Coalition in San Diego , CA . We are doing the same but a little bit different , we have built the same low income housing by building a high rise apt building with the same resources as your village wants and needs . So far out of 300 units we just opened in March 2015 , we have filled 200 with homeless Veterans and their family . The only headache is screening everyone before move in for Drugs , Alcohol and any air Born diseases that they may have , which is actually mandatory . You don't want say a wanted felon or a known drug dealer moving into one of your units . But help yes I can and available to travel , I am a wounded Veteran and in a wheel chair but I can show you the benefits of what you are doing.

  4. Bob, my name is Liz from Freedom House Design. I am in the process of developing a Tiny Village in Western Mass.
A huge undertaking since New England is bogged down with zoning restrictions and red tape.

My dream as a 58 year old woman entering her second career has been to build and provide a Village community for American Veterans.

Can we talk? I can use your advice on how to get support both financially and publicly for this desperately needed community.

I have a land owner cery willi g to join my team but he cannot absorb all the costs.

Please private emsil me when you have some time. The sooner the better.

I have a presentation scheduled with the land owner on Jan 13, 2016.

    Thank you in advance.
Happy healthy new year to you reach me at Lizallard@comcast.net
Then we can ecchange phone numbers
